Chameleon lasers feature the widest tuning range and highest power at any wavelength, expanding the frontiers of Multiphoton Excitation (MPE) microscopy and non-linear optical studies.
See and read more below.
Multiphoton microscopy demands laser technology that is simple to use, yet flexible enough to allow you to explore the widest range of wavelengths and fluorophores. With the release of the new Chameleon Discovery, Coherent now truly offers the most powerful and flexible range of ultrafast technology designed for completely hands-off operation.
Chameleon Discovery is a high power, one-box, wide tuning range, dual output laser for Multiphoton Excitation. Literally two lasers in one, it truly redefines the boundaries of what is possible for deep, in-vivo imaging of all popular probes along with developing red shifted calcium indicators and opsins for optogenetics. The all-new model of the Chameleon Discovery with Total Power Control adds built-in, fast power modulation to both outputs, giving full control of beam parameters into a 2P microscope and streamlining the setup process so users can concentrate on acquiring quality data, rather than optimizing optical delivery systems.
Chameleon Ultra and Vision Series of Ti:Sapphire lasers are market proven performers and workhorses of the MPE community.
Chameleon Ultra delivers optical pulses with GVD characteristics matched to most commercial MPE microscopes whilst delivering high average power and the widest tuning range (680-1080 nm). By incorporating our proprietary Power Pulse system, Chameleon can change color quickly (faster than 40 nm/s) whilst optimizing output power and pulse width automatically.
Chameleon Vision lasers add automated dispersion precompensation to deliver short pulses right to the sample plane, and the Vision-S, short pulse (75 fs) system, delivers higher peak power than any other automated tunable Ti:sapphire laser available.
The Chameleon MPX, is a wavelength extension that is pumped by Chameleon Ultra or Vision lasers and gives access to wavelengths up to 1340 nm. Its unique dual tunablity capability enables powerful multimodal imaging techniques.
Chameleon Compact OPO and Compact OPO VIS extend the wavelength range of the Chameleon Ti:Sapphire laser from 340 nm to 4000 nm, for ultrafast spectroscopy and non-linear optics studies.
